Prabal Gurung for Target

Hello Everyone!!

In less than a month, Prabal Gurung for Target arrives in Target stores. I'm using my once every 3 months shopping pass for this event! (How can I pass this up?!) For those of you who don't know, I've restricted myself to shopping only once every 3 months as part of my New Year's resolution...to make matters interesting I only gave myself a $100-150 limit! I even made myself 4 shopping passes to use for shopping trips, it helps keep me focused on my goal on shopping less.

Perfect timing for Valentine's Day, Prabal Gurung x Target collection comes to stores on Sunday, February 10!
Mark your calendars!

Celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Beckham and The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have all worn his designs.

The dress below is the dress that I have been obsessing over!
It's adorable, chic and very daring.

I can't show all of his designs, but below are just some of my favorite pieces from this designer collaboration for Target.

When it comes to February 10, I'll be waiting anxiously outside Target stores to be one of the first people to purchase Prabal Gurung's collection for Target!

Prices range for $14.99-$199.99 and it includes everything from jewelry, shoes, handbags and clothing!

Ladies, we'll be springtime chic with this collection

Designer collaborations for Target are always a success and this one shouldn't be any different. Last year, I tried to get the Jason Wu for Target collection and things didn't go the way I planned. Pieces sold out fast! On eBay it was selling for double the price! So for Prabal Gurung, I'm gonna be prepared!

Tips on how to shop Target's designer collection:

1. Call and make sure the Target store carried the collection
2. Get to the store before they open
3. Grab everything you like!!! You can always return or resell!

Happy Friday! Let's go enjoy the weekend.

BTW, progress on my Shop Less, resolution is so far so good! Day 11 and still going strong! I'm going to use my 1 of 4 shopping passes for the Prabal Gurung collection for Target.

Fancy Casual

Day 6

Late outfit post

Today is me and my boyfriend's 47 months together and to celebrate we spent the whole afternoon together. This is the outfit that I wore.

My first outfit post of 2013!

Jean Jacket from Nordstrom Rack
Basic Black Scoopneck top from Forever21
Basic Black Maxi Skirt also from Forever21
Necklace from H&M

As many of you know, I have embarked on a 365 day fashion experiment. It involves wearing what I already have in my closet for the whole year and buying clothes/shoes/accessories only if it is TRULY necessary!!

Day 6 and so far so good!

Check back often for my progress

Organized for the New Year

Hey everyone!

Take a look at my Before and After pics of my closets. Out with the old! It feels good to have an organized closet! I hope I can keep it that way! Can't wait to post my first outfit post for 2013!

I hope that I have enough clothes/shoes/accessories to last me for the whole year! That's my 365 fashion experiment. With all the money I'm going to save, I can pay off my student loan!

I gotta stay focused! But I plan on treating myself every 3 months (for the winter, spring, summer and fall seasons) by buying $100 of clothing that I need for the change of seasons.
Let's see how this goes! But so far it's DAY 5 of the New Year and I've been doing pretty good. However, on DAY 3, I bought 3 pairs of gloves at Target...but they were on clearance! They ranged from $3-$15 so it was a good deal!

Can't wait to post my first outfit post for 2013!

After a couple hours of organized, I only ended up donating 2 bags of clothes and shoes!

What was your New Year's Resolution?

Day 1: Year of being thrifty and frugal

Happy New Year Everyone!

It's officially the year 2013 and time for those New Year's Resolution...hopefully most of us can stick to them for the whole year!

My 2012 resolution was to take more pictures and spend more time with family, which I think I actually fulfilled.

Now, for my 2013 resolution, if you haven't guessed from my title, I'm attempting to go on a budget. I've come to realize that if I had budgeted my money better, I could've paid off a good portion of my student loan!

The year of 2013, I will be budgeting my money, so I won't be shopping as much as I used to at retail stores. Instead, I'm gonna save my money and if I do need to buy anything, I'll head over to the thrift store or discounted retailers!

I will be blogging about my journey this year into the world of thrifting and being frugal.

No more impulsive shopping trips! This year, I'm going to try to only buy the clothing and necessities that I NEED to survive (little over dramatic there haha).

In my mind, I think I can sacrifice a year of NOT shopping in order to pay off my student loan debt and credit card payment. After that debt is paid, I have the rest of my life to spend/save my money on what I want to buy without worrying about loans/debt.

Some people I have told DON'T think I can do this, but I'll just prove them wrong!

I'll just keep thinking to myself, do I really need that purse? That purse is worth half of my monthly student loan payment. After watching a clip of Suze Ormon on TV a couple weeks ago, she said something that resonated with me.....OUT OF ALL THE DEBT YOU CARRY, PAY OFF THE STUDENT LOANS FIRST! Apparently, even if  you file for bankruptcy, you're still responsible for the amount of your student loan! :O scary thought right?

Day 1 is easy so far. It's New Year's Day so I spent the day at home. Check back often for my progress and my outfits throughout the year!

Wish me luck!
