Striped Cutout

Loving this Forever21 dress. It has a sweetheart cutout, it shows enough skin without me feeling too exposed.

The Color Run (Happiest 5K on the Planet) Tips

Has anyone heard of The Color Run?

It is this super fun 5K run (about 3 miles) where in certain parts of the run, colored powder is thrown at you!
It's not about finishing first, it's about having fun and being healthy.

The Color Run is also known as The Happiest 5K on the Planet

This was my first time doing something like this and I must say I can't wait to do it again! I participated in this race with my cousin and her boyfriend and I have some tips to help others prepare

The Color Run Tips
  • Wear all white! The color is more visible
  • Protect your phone/electronics by covering them with plastic wrap
  • Get the color run fanny pack or cuff so you can store your phone/car keys/personal things
  • While running the course, ask the event photographers to take pics of you and your friends
    • Have your favorite poses ready
  • Wear a bandana to the music festival to cover your mouth during the color throws
  • Arrive early so you can participate in pre-race activities
  • Bring an extra outfit to change into once the run and music festival is over
    • include shirt, pants and shoes
  • Go in a group! Everyone can do this run!
  • Optional:
    •  While picking up your race packet, also buy other The Color Run products like:
      • Tutu
      • Arm band
      • socks
      • hat
      • shirts/jackets/bottoms

Be on the lookout for the next Color Run in your city!

Floral + Black

I have a fashion crush on floral prints.
It has always been my go-to print. When it comes to clothes and accessories, I have many floral pieces everywhere.

Found these floral printed pants on sale at H&M for $10. You know me I love a bargain. I decided to pair the printed pants with a simple black shirt and heels. Nothing too overpowering. Plus, it keeps the outfit simple and classy.

I practically use my Michael Kors top handle bag everyday. I love it.

Thanks for taking the time to read and view my blog!

Time for the Winter to Spring transition!

I like wearing sweaters over dresses because it gives my dresses more purposes than just a dress. Put a sweater over it and it's a skirt! I'm saving money and finding new outfits at the same time.

Accessorized with a 1920's inspired hat from Target gives an outfit a polished style look. Wore Jimmy Choo boots that my boyfriend got me from Nordstrom Rack for only $79! Awesome deal! Original price was $950! The boots give the outfit a modern edgy feel.

Forever 21 Navy blue cable sweater
H&M Coral dress
Jimmy Choo boots (found at Nordstrom Rack for $79!)
Michael Michael Kors top handle handbag

It's almost Friday!!!

Firmoo glasses for you

Hi everyone!
If you're like me, you wear contacts and glasses. Lately I've been wearing glasses a lot because it's just quicker and faster.

The glasses I am wearing are courtesy of
I've always wanted really big thick glasses. Don't judge me, but I like them because I think I get a clearer vision. The glasses I'm wearing is Firmoo Unisex full frame (

The first time I got these glasses I was so excited! I got many compliments from my coworkers about these glasses. Since these frames have larger lenses, I feel that I get better vision just because the frames are so big. One thing that I would change about these frames is that the ear piece hurts my right ear. But that's alright. Not all frames are gonna fit anyone's head perfectly. Other than that, I am in love with these glasses.

For a FREE first pair of glasses from Firmoo check out

Happy Monday!!

Light Painting

This was a last minute photo shoot with my lovely friend Jamie Balaoro and Alexis Casillas! She used a technique called Light Painting

I don't know much about it, but the process is basically this. You're in the complete dark while other ppl shine flashlights on you and on the background. But the thing is, you have to sit still, you cannot move at all!!! Otherwise the picture turns out blurry.

So I had to sit still for about 20 seconds. It doesn't sound like a long time, but trust me, it is if you can't move. I even decided to hold my breath that way there was no movement. It worked because the pictures turned out really good!!!

What I'm wearing:
Prabal Gurung for Target Dress
Steve Madden Blue Platform heels
Michael Michael Kors black top handle purse

Have a happy weekend everyone!

Prabal Gurung for Target

Hello Everyone!!

In less than a month, Prabal Gurung for Target arrives in Target stores. I'm using my once every 3 months shopping pass for this event! (How can I pass this up?!) For those of you who don't know, I've restricted myself to shopping only once every 3 months as part of my New Year's make matters interesting I only gave myself a $100-150 limit! I even made myself 4 shopping passes to use for shopping trips, it helps keep me focused on my goal on shopping less.

Perfect timing for Valentine's Day, Prabal Gurung x Target collection comes to stores on Sunday, February 10!
Mark your calendars!

Celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Beckham and The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have all worn his designs.

The dress below is the dress that I have been obsessing over!
It's adorable, chic and very daring.

I can't show all of his designs, but below are just some of my favorite pieces from this designer collaboration for Target.

When it comes to February 10, I'll be waiting anxiously outside Target stores to be one of the first people to purchase Prabal Gurung's collection for Target!

Prices range for $14.99-$199.99 and it includes everything from jewelry, shoes, handbags and clothing!

Ladies, we'll be springtime chic with this collection

Designer collaborations for Target are always a success and this one shouldn't be any different. Last year, I tried to get the Jason Wu for Target collection and things didn't go the way I planned. Pieces sold out fast! On eBay it was selling for double the price! So for Prabal Gurung, I'm gonna be prepared!

Tips on how to shop Target's designer collection:

1. Call and make sure the Target store carried the collection
2. Get to the store before they open
3. Grab everything you like!!! You can always return or resell!

Happy Friday! Let's go enjoy the weekend.

BTW, progress on my Shop Less, resolution is so far so good! Day 11 and still going strong! I'm going to use my 1 of 4 shopping passes for the Prabal Gurung collection for Target.

Organized for the New Year

Hey everyone!

Take a look at my Before and After pics of my closets. Out with the old! It feels good to have an organized closet! I hope I can keep it that way! Can't wait to post my first outfit post for 2013!

I hope that I have enough clothes/shoes/accessories to last me for the whole year! That's my 365 fashion experiment. With all the money I'm going to save, I can pay off my student loan!

I gotta stay focused! But I plan on treating myself every 3 months (for the winter, spring, summer and fall seasons) by buying $100 of clothing that I need for the change of seasons.
Let's see how this goes! But so far it's DAY 5 of the New Year and I've been doing pretty good. However, on DAY 3, I bought 3 pairs of gloves at Target...but they were on clearance! They ranged from $3-$15 so it was a good deal!

Can't wait to post my first outfit post for 2013!

After a couple hours of organized, I only ended up donating 2 bags of clothes and shoes!

What was your New Year's Resolution?

Day 1: Year of being thrifty and frugal

Happy New Year Everyone!

It's officially the year 2013 and time for those New Year's Resolution...hopefully most of us can stick to them for the whole year!

My 2012 resolution was to take more pictures and spend more time with family, which I think I actually fulfilled.

Now, for my 2013 resolution, if you haven't guessed from my title, I'm attempting to go on a budget. I've come to realize that if I had budgeted my money better, I could've paid off a good portion of my student loan!

The year of 2013, I will be budgeting my money, so I won't be shopping as much as I used to at retail stores. Instead, I'm gonna save my money and if I do need to buy anything, I'll head over to the thrift store or discounted retailers!

I will be blogging about my journey this year into the world of thrifting and being frugal.

No more impulsive shopping trips! This year, I'm going to try to only buy the clothing and necessities that I NEED to survive (little over dramatic there haha).

In my mind, I think I can sacrifice a year of NOT shopping in order to pay off my student loan debt and credit card payment. After that debt is paid, I have the rest of my life to spend/save my money on what I want to buy without worrying about loans/debt.

Some people I have told DON'T think I can do this, but I'll just prove them wrong!

I'll just keep thinking to myself, do I really need that purse? That purse is worth half of my monthly student loan payment. After watching a clip of Suze Ormon on TV a couple weeks ago, she said something that resonated with me.....OUT OF ALL THE DEBT YOU CARRY, PAY OFF THE STUDENT LOANS FIRST! Apparently, even if  you file for bankruptcy, you're still responsible for the amount of your student loan! :O scary thought right?

Day 1 is easy so far. It's New Year's Day so I spent the day at home. Check back often for my progress and my outfits throughout the year!

Wish me luck!
