Denim Verse

Hello everyone! Ever since I've purchased this denim shirt 2 weeks ago, it's safe to say that it is quickly becoming my go to shirt. I've already posted it in 3 posts (including this one).

Instead of pairing this shirt of jeans, I thought to myself "Why not pair it with my peach/beige striped dress?". I liked how it looked so I put on my mint green converse shoes to complete this casual look. 

Accessorized with a mix teal/peach/pink colors. This purse you see is a NEW ADDITION to my closet. My boyfriend got this for me as a birthday present! I absolutely love it! I've been looking for a big shoulder purse that can fit all my necessities. The color is perfect all year round also. 

A basic beige purse will last you a lifetime!

My outfit for the Kate Spading Opening event in Santana Row! 

I love this shopping district because it's only 20 minutes away from where I live! It has the best shops and eateries. 

My top has cut-outs on the shoulders and a all-over bow print. Super cute, I got it at Nordstrom. Paired it with my light blue flower print jeans from American Eagle.

Kate Spade NY is now open in Santana Row! During this Grand Opening event, you received 20% off your purchase! The store provided cupcakes and sparkling water for the guests. 

I was super star struck seeing Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam. She was the host of the Kate Spade Grand Opening event! It was so cool seeing her in person. Julia was extremely personable and sweet. She was there with her fiance, Thomas, and I was fortunate enough to talk to them for a bit.

Chris Colfer's SF Book Signing

This post is for all my Glee fans out there! 

My dream FINALLY came true, I met a cast member from GLEE!!!!

I was lucky enough to find out about Chris Colfer's San Francisco book signing last week, and once I found out it was a TICKETED event, I bought my ticket right away! I've watched glee from the very beginning and meeting a cast member is such a dream come true.

For those of you who don't know who Chris Colfer is; he is an actor and new author. He plays Kurt Hummel on Glee and he just released his first book, The Land of Stories. I've read the first couple chapters and it is a good read. If you like your fairy tales with a twist...this book is for you!

Event Details

Location: Opera Plaza in San Francisco

Venue: Books Inc.

Time: 6pm-8pm

Of course, the line for the event was incredibly long. That is to be expected, after all this is Chris Colfer we are talking about.

After a certain length away from Chris, the bodyguards and event coordinators wouldn't allow us to take pictures. So these were the best that my friend could take. But they turned out pretty well! 

The signing/meet and greet with Chris Colfer went by pretty fast. But I actually got to talk to him and have a quick conversation! Seeing him that close was amazing. Waiting in line for 2 hours was worth it to have that opportunity to see him in person. 

He signed my book and he even drew a star next to his signature :D Being that this is my birthday week, this was my birthday present to myself! 

I was completely STAR STRUCK! This experience was absolutely amazing. 

Many girls at the signing got extremely emotional and started to cry. I tried to keep my composure, but I must admit that I almost cried talking to him, but I kept my cool. 

Can't wait for his next book signing! He signed a 2 book deal, so stay turned for the sequel of The Land of Stories.

Beach Birthday Outfit

Happy Tuesday everyone! 

So last Saturday I had a LAST MINUTE celebration for my birthday by going to the beach at nearby San Francisco with a few friends. I'm not a big party kinda girl. Last year, I had a big party, but I didn't really like it. This year, I had small celebrations with family and friends during the days before my birthday. Had dinner with my uncle, lunch/shopping with my parents and had a night-in with my boyfriend. 

Unfortunately, my boyfriend wasn't able to go to the beach. But I still had a blast. I must say that the weather on Saturday was absolutely perfect! Thank you Mother Nature for the perfect weather that day. I chose that Crissy Field would be the best place to go to because it has an amazing view of the Golden Gate bridge.

I don't go to the beach as often I would like, but when I do get to go I try to enjoy it as much as possible. 

Usually SF weather is windy and cold, even when the sun is out. So I dressed appropriately for that weather. I'm obsessed with flowers! I have a lot of flower printed shirts and accessories. Now, I have flower printed shorts and pants! 

I wore these white jeans with blue flower print. From the moment I saw them, I knew I had to get them. It's like those jeans were calling my name! Paired them with a lightweight denim colored shirt. The color of the shirt plays very well with the color of the flower print jeans. 

I accessorized with my statement peach necklace and mixed it up with peach/teal bracelets. Does it look like I overdressed for the beach? I tend to do that from time to time, but it's my birthday and I think we all deserve to stand out (in a good way) on our birthdays :D 

This little bird decided to stop by near us. Guess he wanted to wish me a Happy Birthday haha.

So glad I decided to bring shorts! I changed to these flower printed shorts after 30 minutes of staying in the sun. I can't believe how hot it was in San Francisco that day. Usual SF weather is windy/cold, so I am so glad I packed a pair of shorts.

Denim On White

IT'S FRIDAY! 

We've all heard of "Casual Friday" right? It's supposedly the one day in the week where corporate business people were allowed to wear jeans to work. Well, it's 2012 and lucky for me I work for corporate retail so EVERYDAY is CASUAL FRIDAY! 

Yesterday, before I had to go to dinner with my Uncle (we celebrated my birthday a couple days early), I stopped by Nordstrom Rack and found this cute denim shirt! 

Believe it or not, this is my FIRST denim shirt. I've never owned one before and I'm so glad I have this addition to my closet. Paired it with white jeans and a classic black pump! 

Dressing up for work never felt so casual.

Flower Sheer

Hey everyone! Today is going to be a super quick post! I have birthday preparations to do.

This outfit may be more suited for fall, but I really like this sheer dress. It's light, flowy and fun. Although today was a bit windy to wear something like this. Remember to wear a nude tank top and nude spandex shorts when wearing anything sheer. You don't want everyone to see your bra and panties. Gotta leave some room for the imagination!

Since this dress has neutral colors like Pinks and Browns, I decided to wear my knee high brown boots.

Dressed Down Tweed

Hey everyone! So it's been over a week since I've posted an outfit! 

I must say that I'm happy to finally own something TWEED. I've always been skeptical on how it would look on me, but I kinda like it. It has a grown up and mature feel to it. Definitely appropriate for an office job.

Since this tweed jacket is such a statement piece, I played it down with a simple white t-shirt, blue jeans and black pumps. 

I got this tweed jacket, along with 2 more other pieces (outfits coming soon), at the Nordstrom Early Access Anniversary Sale. My mom is a Nordstrom card holder, so we were allowed to shop the sale before the public! So it pays to have a Nordstrom Card. 

Hope everyone is enjoying their Monday! Only 4 more days until Friday AND 7 days until my birthday!! Whoo hoo!
